While she is known to bowl more than decent off-breaks, it is generally the hard-hitting ability and the electric fielding of Danielle Wyatt that brings this petite powerhouse into limelight.
She packs a wallop, and can be devastating force when she smacks them in front or square of the wicket. As she demonstrated when she cracked that 56-ball hundred against Australia at Canberra or the mighty 64-ball 124 to overhaul a mammoth 198 against India in the T20I at the Brabourne Stadium.
Her bowling action has needed remodelling and limited her spells at the highest level, but as she made her way up the order and started to open in the shortest format, she started batting like a gale storm. She has taken the first strike in T20Is on 23 occasions and the results have been 761 runs at 34.59 at a mind-boggling strike rate of 139.37, with increasing relish at clearing the ropes.
